Korea Green Tea
Korean green tea is hand made. Formerly the tea was manufactured by lay devotees and budhist monks who considered the task a spiritual discipline that required high concentration. Our teas come from the Korean island of Jeju, Biosphere Reserve since 2002, a volcanic island with clean air and crystal clear waters making it ideal for tea plants to be cultivated. Korean green teas (Okrok) undergo steaming and roasting.Leaves are steamed and then roasted at a temperature of 80-90ºC hence increasing the content of aminoacids in the leaves that shall develop in a liqueur with a natural sweetness in the taste. Later the leaves are rubbed in 15 circles until they are curved and round. The simplicity of the mind and the devotion of the heart.
